We respect your right to control your personal data. You can delete your Groute account and all associated data at any time using either method below.
Option 1 — Delete from the App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the Groute app:
- Open Groute and go to your Profile tab
- Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account will be deactivated immediately and all data permanently deleted within 30 days.
Option 2 — Request via Email
If you cannot access the App, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Delete My Account" from the email address associated with your Groute account.
We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when the deletion is complete.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Account information — name, email, phone number, profile photo
- Provider profile — bio, services, pricing, insurance documents, availability settings
- Job photos — all before and after photos you uploaded or that were taken for your jobs
- Messages — all in-app messages from your jobs
- Reviews — reviews you have written (reviews written about you by others will be anonymized)
- Push notification tokens — you will no longer receive notifications
- Recurring schedules — any active subscriptions will be cancelled
What We May Retain
Certain records may be retained in anonymized form for legal, financial, or regulatory compliance. These records cannot be linked back to you.
- Transaction records — anonymized payment amounts and dates, as required for tax and accounting purposes
- Fraud prevention data — anonymized records to prevent abuse of the platform
Payment data processed by Stripe is subject to Stripe's own data retention policies. You may contact Stripe directly to request deletion of payment information they hold.
Active Jobs & Outstanding Payments
If you have active jobs or outstanding payments at the time of your deletion request:
- Active jobs must be completed or cancelled before your account can be fully deleted
- Pending payouts will be processed before the account is closed
- Recurring schedules will be cancelled and no future charges will be made
We will contact you if your deletion request cannot be processed immediately due to active obligations.
