These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Groute mobile application ("the App"), operated by Reitek LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Groute, you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Groute, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. The Platform
Groute is a marketplace connecting homeowners ("Customers") with independent lawn care and landscaping professionals ("Providers"). We facilitate connections, payments, and scheduling — we are not a lawn care company and do not employ Providers.
Providers are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Reitek LLC. We do not supervise, direct, or control the manner in which Providers perform services.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You may not share your account or create accounts for others without authorization
- You must promptly update your account if your information changes
- Each person may hold only one account
4. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate service addresses and property information
- Ensure the service area is accessible and free of hazards not disclosed in booking notes
- Be available or reachable during the scheduled service window
- Pay the agreed-upon price for completed services
- Leave honest, fair reviews based on the actual service received
5. Provider Responsibilities
- Complete all onboarding steps including identity verification, insurance documentation, and Stripe Connect setup before accepting jobs
- Maintain active insurance coverage for lawn care services
- Arrive on time and perform services professionally and to a reasonable standard
- Upload accurate before and after photos for every completed job
- Accept weather-related rescheduling in good faith
- Not solicit Customers for off-platform payment to avoid platform fees
6. Payments & Fees
Platform fee
Groute charges a 5% platform fee on every completed job. The Provider receives 95% of the job price. This fee is deducted automatically at the time of payout.
Service fee
Groute charges a 5% service fee to Customers on every booking. This fee is added to the Provider's listed price and displayed as a separate line item before payment confirmation.
Payment authorization
When a Customer books a service, payment is authorized (held) at the time of booking but not captured until the Provider marks the job as complete and uploads the required after photo.
Provider payouts
Payouts are processed through Stripe Connect. Providers receive funds via instant debit transfer, typically within minutes of job completion.
Tips
Customers may leave an optional tip after job completion. Tips are paid out 100% to the Provider with no platform fee applied.
Cancellation
If a Customer cancels a booked job before the Provider has begun en route, the payment authorization is released and no charge is made. Cancellation policies may be updated from time to time.
7. Photo Documentation
Providers must upload a before photo when arriving at the job site and an after photo upon completion. These photos serve as documentation for both parties and are required before payment is released.
Photos are stored securely and are only visible to the Customer and Provider involved in the job.
8. Weather Rescheduling
Groute monitors weather conditions for scheduled jobs. If there is a high probability of rain (greater than 50%), both the Customer and Provider will be notified and offered rescheduling options.
- Neither party is charged for weather-related rescheduling
- Weather rescheduling does not affect a Provider's reliability score
- Non-weather cancellations by a Provider may reduce their reliability score
9. Ratings & Reviews
After each completed job, Customers may leave a rating (1–5 stars) and written review. Reviews must reflect the actual service experience. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or violate these Terms.
Provider reliability scores are affected by non-weather cancellations. A score below 80 results in a warning, and a score below 60 may result in reduced visibility on the platform.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Use Groute for any unlawful purpose
- Provide false information in your profile, bookings, or reviews
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
- Attempt to circumvent platform fees by arranging off-platform payments
- Upload fraudulent, manipulated, or misleading photos
- Create multiple accounts or impersonate another person
- Interfere with the App's operation or security
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the App without authorization
11. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or if your reliability score indicates a pattern of poor service.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limitations) remain in effect.
12. Disclaimers & Liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality, safety, or reliability of any service performed by Providers.
Reitek LLC is a technology platform, not a lawn care service provider. We are not liable for:
- The quality, timeliness, or outcome of services performed by Providers
- Property damage or personal injury arising from services
- Disputes between Customers and Providers
- Service interruptions, data loss, or technical issues
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Groute shall not exceed the amount of fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Dallas County, Texas, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property or data security matters.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Continued use of Groute after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
