Groute is operated by Reitek LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Groute mobile application ("the App").
By using Groute, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, and role (customer or provider)
- Profile information — profile photo, bio, service offerings, and pricing (providers)
- Address and location — service addresses you enter for booking lawn care
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers or bank account details
- Photos — before and after job photos uploaded by providers as part of job documentation
- Messages — in-app messages exchanged between customers and providers during a job
- Insurance documents — uploaded by providers during onboarding
Information collected automatically
- Device information — device type, operating system, and push notification token
- Location data — geocoded coordinates from addresses you enter; we do not continuously track your location in the background
- Usage data — interactions with the App for improving our service
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To match customers with nearby lawn care providers
- To process payments and payouts via Stripe
- To send push notifications about job updates, weather alerts, and reminders
- To display before/after job photos to relevant parties
- To monitor weather conditions for scheduled jobs and notify you of potential rescheduling
- To calculate provider ratings, reliability scores, and earnings
- To communicate with you about your account or the service
- To improve and maintain the App
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Groute. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data:
- Supabase — database hosting, user authentication, and file storage
- Stripe — payment processing and provider payouts via Stripe Connect
- Google Maps Platform — address geocoding and map display
- Expo / EAS — push notification delivery
- OpenWeatherMap — weather forecast data for job scheduling
- Apple / Google — OAuth authentication (Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google)
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase in the us-east-1 region. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Row-level security policies on all database tables
- Encrypted connections (TLS/SSL) for all data in transit
- Private storage buckets with time-limited signed URLs for photos
- Stripe webhook signature verification for payment events
- API keys stored as environment variables, never in client-side code
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account:
- Your profile, messages, and photos are permanently deleted within 30 days
- Anonymized transaction records may be retained for legal and financial compliance
- Stripe retains payment data according to its own retention policies
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data by viewing your profile in the App
- Correct your data by editing your profile at any time
- Delete your account and associated data (see our Data Deletion page)
- Opt out of push notifications via your device settings

Texas residents: Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), you have additional rights including the right to know what personal data we process, to correct inaccuracies, to delete your data, and to opt out of data sales (we do not sell data).
7. Children's Privacy
Groute is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App and updating the effective date above. Continued use of Groute after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
